Participating School

  • The research will be conducted at participating government schools who are in the own right leaders of academic success.

  • The identity of the participating schools will remain anonymous and such anonymity will be guaranteed by a non-disclosure agreement.

  • The participating schools will receive a copy of the final thesis once published by the Robert Kennedy College / University of Cumbria.

Stages of the research

Stage 1

The use of technology in the classroom and for online teaching:

During this stage educators of the participating schools will be required to complete an electronic questionnaire that relates to the use of various teaching techniques, the utilisation of technology and how Covid-19 has affected the teaching techniques of an educator.

Stage 2

Diversity of the Management Team:

During this stage, persons holding a managerial role will be requested to complete an electronic questionnaire, that amongst others indicate their age, qualifications and managerial responsibility. The name of the participant will remain anonymous.

Stage 3

Financial Methodologies:

During this stage, access to the financial statements and expenditure policies of a school will be required. The data obtained from the financial statements will be used to determine the total percentage of expenditure that is allocated to advance the educational leadership of a school in achieving academic success. For the avoidance of doubt the actual amount expended will not be disclosed but expressed as a percentage of the total funds of the school.

Certain stages of the research may require succinct in person appointments at participating schools and interviews with educators and the management team.
